Tee guides are typically used with timber or solid internal type doors.
The tee guide is floor mounted and concealed from view to provide an uninterrupted floor finish across the door opening. It runs through a slot in the bottom of the door sized to suit the guide. Doors should ‘float’ over the guide, with no friction, resistance or excessive lateral movement.
Aluminium door guides are typically used with aluminium framed doors incorporating a bottom channel. The guide is floor mounted and concealed from view to provide an uninterrupted floor finish across the door opening, running within the channel at the bottom of the door. The roller guide can be angled to suit the channel width. Doors should ‘float’ over the guide, with no friction, resistance or excessive lateral movement.
Nylon Recessed Channel (NRC) guide consists of a 25 x 25mm black anodised aluminium outer section with a slotted nylon insert, designed to be recessed flush with floor level to minimise trip hazards and provide a continuous guide across the door opening.
Typically supplied to match track length and suited to internal applications, the NRC is used in conjunction with an inverted 25 x 25 x 3 x 100mm brass tee guide fixed to the bottom of the door, which runs through the slotted nylon insert.
We offer floor guide options for both timber and aluminium parallel sliding door arrangements, providing a clean floor finish across the opening.
NRC guides can also be installed as a continuous channel across the full length of the opening where required.
